11 Jun A Sunday Checklist to Set Up for Success
Preparation on Sunday Means Focus for the Rest of the Week
Preparing for the week can make your week a lot less stressful. Setting aside time on Sunday to plan for the week ahead is a smart way to ensure that you are set up for success.
Artful Agenda is the perfect app to use for a Sunday checklist that makes beginning your week a lot easier. Here are some suggestions for your checklist.
Add Events and Appointments to Your Planner
Putting events and appointments into your calendar gives you a sense of how busy your week is going to be and how you’ll be spending your time.
This is a good thing to do at the beginning of every month for the things you already know are happening while using the time each week to update your agenda and add things that pop up throughout the course of the month.
Getting a sense of your “free” time gives you the opportunity to time block for the things you want or need to get done, such as laundry, working on your side hustle, or something fun you’ve been wanting to do. This is also a great way to reach any goals you have. See how else Artful Agenda can help you achieve your goals in this blog post.
Plan Your Meals Ahead of Time
Artful Agenda’s Weekly view is the perfect place to plan your meals for the week. It provides a convenient area where you can see your meals for the entire week. This is a great way to make sure you’re using the food you already have while also helping you with creating your weekly grocery list.
One of the best things about using a digital planner like Artful Agenda is that the meals you put into the weekly view will automatically be carried over to the daily view for that day, so you don’t have to write them twice!
Establish Your Weekly Goals
Set your intentions for the week by adding your weekly goals into your Artful Agenda. Writing your goals down makes them more likely to happen because it gives you a sense of accountability.
Stating your goals gives you direction for the week, and it provides a good foundation for what you need to spend time doing that week. It allows you to see everything you want to achieve and set your priorities accordingly.
Create Daily To-Do Lists
Break your weekly goals down into actionable tasks in Artful Agenda’s Daily view. You can differentiate daily tasks based on priority, and you can reassign tasks to different days as needed.
This is also where the time blocking mentioned earlier can come in handy! Once you know what you want to get done each day, you can plan your schedule around that.
Practice Self Care
In our opinion, this is the best part of a Sunday checklist, because it can look however you want it to look. If self-care for you is eating chocolate chip cookies while catching up on your favorite show, you can do that. If you’re more of a face-mask-and-bath person, that’s what you can do during this time. Or if you want to drink tea or meditate or do an at-home workout, DO IT!
It’s all about taking care of yourself so you can start your week with your best foot forward. Your mental, physical, and spiritual well-being are so important, and Sunday is a perfect time “reset” before a new week begins. If you need ideas for what to do, we’ve also written a blog on that.
